Cholesterol - Lies, Deceit, and Reality

Trusting Body's Wisdom over Narrative

Hi friends,

šŸ½ļø Yesterday, I attended a raffle luncheon organized by ex-government servicemen (senior citizens). I was excited to learn confidential stories of encounters and old secret missions from this intelligentsia.

šŸ˜” Sadly, this time the topics were largely limited to illnesses among the young and old and the variety of medication this lot was consuming. Everyone mimicked the exact WhatsApp University ā€œfactsā€ on lifestyle diseases and competed to show off their knowledge of pharmaceuticals, with occasional sympathies for one another.

šŸ‘€ Youā€™d expect the bureaucratic, politically, and socially influential class to fare better than commoners in the country; but no. Here they were, educated but blind.

šŸŒæ When will we start seeing health in the kitchen than in lab-created drugs? When will we approach holistic nutrition as a lifestyle rather than a placebo or pseudo-science?

In an ode to the event, today I want to discuss the topic of cholesterol, in the simplest language.

Cholesterol

ā“ Most people are clueless about cholesterol. We think it's an evil that we cannot have in the body. Monetizing on our emotions, food companies sell us ā€œcholesterol-freeā€, or ā€œfat-freeā€ varieties of oil, cereal, etc. The fear-mongering that cholesterol is bad for the heart, has been around for the last two decades at least.

šŸ’Š Anti-cholesterol medication, known commonly as Statins have a ton of side effects including the possibility of developing neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimerā€™s (which became more prevalent when drugs against it were introduced), dementia, slow reflexes, muscle wasting, brain fog, etc.

šŸ“Š The results are far more evident in the West. In Australia alone, 1 in 10 people above the age of 65 have Alzheimerā€™s.

šŸ§  Cholesterol is the basis of our immune system and general health. 75% of our brain is made of Myelin, which is a substance made entirely from cholesterol!

šŸ‘¶ The fattiest organ in the body is the brain and the fattiest food with the highest cholesterol content is breast milk!

(Can our Creator make a mistake?)

šŸ“‰ Notice how the accepted range of cholesterol has changed within the last 40 years. Earlier it was 300 mg/dL and now anything above 200 mg/dL is considered high! And anyone close to 200 is handed a lifelong medication program, no questions asked.

ā— Heart diseases have continued to increase, and the ones taking the medication have only gotten worse. So who is benefiting from bringing down the accepted range?

šŸ§¬ The liver makes cholesterol only according to the demands of the body. Statins block the pathway of the liver, which is used to make cholesterol.

šŸ¦  This same pathway is used by the liver to produce the enzyme CoQ10, which is a naturally occurring enzyme produced in our bodies and found in our mitochondria.

āš” A decrease in CoQ10 makes the body vulnerable to oxidative stress, infertility, lowered energy, and pathogens. Most importantly, CoQ10 is a heart-protective enzyme!

šŸ’” So, by using Statins, not only are you susceptible to the side effects mentioned, but youā€™re blocking the production of CoQ10, which wouldā€™ve otherwise saved your heart!

Now, more than ever youā€™re at risk of heart disease!

šŸ§¬ Statins also contain heavy metals including aluminum, and recent studies have revealed that Breast Cancer is also a possibility after usage of this drug.

šŸ„š You need the egg yolks that have been vilified for more than two decades. A developing brain needs cholesterol and fat. Coconut oil and Olive oil are the best non-animal fats (though it's hard to find uncompromised Olive Oil); thankfully living in South Asia, we have unlimited access to high-quality coconuts.

šŸ§  A low-cholesterol diet starves the brain of essential nutrients, creates blockages, and causes memory troubles. It reduces thinking capabilities, making people just shells of their previous selves.

šŸŒ… People are slowly waking up to this scam. There is a lot of unlearning to do; even for honest doctors whoā€™ve understood the true nature of these drugs. You can check out The Great Cholesterol Con by Dr. Malcolm Kendrick (a Scottish GP), and The Great Cholesterol Myth by Jonny Bowden and Stephen Sinatra if any of your loved ones use such drugs or suffer from neurodegenerative diseases.

šŸŒæ Donā€™t disturb the homeostasis of the body; trust the bodyā€™s wisdom, and detoxify your liver, but donā€™t give in to this ā€œfat-freeā€, ā€œCholesterol-freeā€, narrative.

P.S. Check out my post on the importance of CoQ10 here.

Love,

Zitni Zun <3
