Clear the Mental Trash!

An Empty Mind is NOT a Devil's Workshop

Sweetums,

The weekend is almost over, and I want to take a quick minute (before you turn on Netflix) to remind you to B-R-E-A-T-H-E. 🌬️

Because both you and I often forget that breath is the source of life, not food, money, or anything else. 🌱

Let’s take in a few long breaths together. 🧘‍♀️

Turn down all external noise. 🔇

And just follow my lead. 👇

Keep your attention on your breath, and watch your chest expand and contract. 🌟

If you’re listening closely, you can hear your heartbeat. ❤️

At this point, your mind is probably talking—random chit-chat from the day, your worries, feelings of anger, happiness, future projects, and so on, all roaming around wildly. 🤯

Let that happen. It’s very human. 👤

Mind is a monkey… Chaos is inevitable. 🐒

Now, like you dismiss multiple tabs on the phone, dismiss each thought after it has passed, mentally. Hear out the thought and the feeling it's projecting properly, then dismiss the tab. 📱✋

And hopefully, by the end, you’d have successfully emptied your mind. 🧘‍♂️

Then, bring your attention back to the present. 🌍

Don’t think of new things or anything at all.

Just be. 🧘‍♀️

Here.

In the present. In your room, reading this. 📖

Contrary to belief, an empty mind is not the devil’s workshop. 😇

It’s the first step in taking charge of our lives. 🚀

The mind is responsible for the creation of thought, largely in association with feelings. If you’ve had a bad day at work for whatever reason, you will have a bad mood, and the mind will churn ideas for plotting revenge, hurting others, and magnifying the gravity of the situation. 😤

You’ll continue being bitter until you confront those people and environments that gave you the feeling in the first place. 🌪️

And that’s how you allow externalities and your mental devices to rule YOU. 🧠

You can’t risk mental peace by believing EVERYTHING you think. 🕊️

Mind is just a monkey. And we must tame it. 🐒✨

Love,

Zitni Zun 💖
