Create an Identity Shift
You can change your Self-Concept
Hello Sunshine, ☀️🌻
We are fast approaching the halftime of 2024 (I KNOW!)
I too, like you, am screaming from the inside.
There is a quiet promise many of us made to ourselves on the eve of 2024 - to be “different” this year. To be “renewed”. To be the “IT girl” of our dreams.
I know I did (as I do every year). And despite my best efforts, I am never satisfied.
Why?
Because identity is an ever-changing concept; your ideal self will always remain, ideal. And if you continue pining over what “could’ve been”, you’ll never be happy with the present you.
The center of the Human Blueprint lies in identity, spirituality, and the route of life. If you’re unclear in your innermost self - your nucleus, your mental conflict will separate you from the Greater Consciousness.
So, the first step in creating your desired identity is learning who you are right now. Using this, you can come close to what you want to become.
But Human Design still has its limitations.
Every time I came close to my “ideal self”, I was roughed by the tides in life and pushed in another direction. Countless times I clung to my version at that time, not giving up, because I was absolutely convinced that THIS IS REAL ME. My ego was in my identity at that time.
In my university days, the Myers-Briggs Personality Test was a socially accepted icebreaker. I remember telling everyone I was an INFJ and wearing that badge with pride.
Now I look back and chuckle at my ignorance!
Human identities are fluid, we shapeshift according to the needs of the time and the lessons we are supposed to go through in this lifetime to be closer to the Cosmos (if we are ever that lucky).
This topic of identity is frustrating, but humbling.
In the last ten years, I’ve been - an extremely extrovert corporate employee, a wannabe herbalist, a beekeeper, an alternative medicine geek, an animal rescuer, a tarot reader (I know!), a translator, a manager at a holistic living startup, a writer for startups, a religiously inspired devotee, a project creator, brand representative, NGO worker, and a geopolitics writer among others.
And the universe did not allow me to stay in one place. I had to outgrow all these personalities to reach my life’s purpose.
And my God, this journey has been Wild. Unique, just like my blueprint on this planet. Just like yours will be…
So my dears, don’t get too attached to the ideal self; do your best for your purpose in this life.
Don’t know it yet? Quieten down, and you’ll hear it in your bones.
Love,
Zitni Zun
