Liver SOS: The Detox Your Body Craves

I am back with news on the most ignored organ of the body - The Liver. 🏥✨
The liver is our body’s ultimate detox organ as it is responsible for filtering toxins, regulating hormone function, and metabolizing nutrients. But with all the garbage we feed our bodies through food, environment, and thought - the liver starts getting sluggish. 😞
What is Cholestasis?
It can lead to a condition called Cholestasis - where the bile flow is impaired, leading to sluggish liver, systemic imbalances, and inflammation in the body. ⚠️🔥
Processed food, poor sleep cycle, exposure to a toxic environment, overconsumption of stimulants, and living in blue light 📱all contribute to an overwhelmed liver.
Why Detoxing the Liver is Key
When one cleanses the liver, they wipe out damage in the entire body. People generally try to right all the wrongs in the body through supplementation. Even the functional medicine approach does not help until the organs involved in such a cleanse are functioning optimally. 🚫💊 You do not need the supplementation before organ detox!
Taking in allopathy without letting the body clean itself is a futile activity. 🧪❌ ‘Allo’ means ‘Other’ and ‘Pathos’ means ‘Suffering’ or ‘Sadness’; meaning that by taking allopathy you are choosing another suffering over the one you were earlier facing! 🤯
That’s why you need to be eating a non-inflammatory diet 🥗 and getting as much sun ☀️ in the morning and evening.
Today children are exposed to toxicity from day one. The blue lights of the hospital, then the TV and iPads. 📺📱 They start demanding these items even before they learn to talk because blue light and easy dopamine from TV is so addictive! 😵💫
Not only is it toxic but it impacts our digestion as well. It is necessary for the digestive juices to freely move in relaxation 😌 but by distracting ourselves with TV and talking, we risk improper digestion. We also do not have any circadian rhythm hygiene, so yes the body systems are always in distress. ⚠️😔
Metabolism & The Right Diet
Being healthy isn’t complicated, but yes, it needs some sacrifice.
Rather than following yo-yo diets or building plans, we need to learn how our metabolism works, and how and which food gives us energy or takes away energy. 🥩🍎 For example, it takes the body more energy just to digest processed foods, so ultimately, are you gaining or losing more energy eating them?
Our diets should be pro-metabolic if we want optimum organ performance and reverse aging. 🔄⏳ Forget your supplements until you give your body a fighting chance!
The Supplement Industry: A Misleading Trap
With so many supplements in the market like glutathione, collagen, spirulina, and all kinds of herbs, 🌿💊 it’s easy to be overwhelmed. The pharma industry, supported by social media, persuades us to do everything that is the anti-thesis of HEALTH. 🏥❌
Traditional medicine, on the other hand, does not focus on treating diseases or their symptoms; it focuses on preventative care, creating an environment so you may never have them. 🧘♀️🌿
The Liver: Your Natural Fat Burner
The problem of obesity, rising glucose and triglyceride levels, leptin resistance, insulin resistance - all of this loads the liver, which is actually the fat-burning organ of the body. 🔥💪
But with poor bile flow, the liver stores fat instead of burning.
How Lifestyle Choices Impact the Liver
Added to the mix, with increasing age, you have - Stress, Medications (Drugs), Coffee, Alcohol, and Trauma. ☕🍷😔
The Liver keeps storing the fat and metabolic symptoms like brain fog, poor memory, less muscle, fatigue, etc. set in. All this traps the Qi in the liver (vital energy of the body; Prana in Ayurveda) and then begins the actual deterioration of the body. 🌀😞
